Liturgy Service
Nov 15 @ 10:30 am – 12:00 pm

We gather every Sunday Liturgy. The word liturgy means “work, or work of the people,” and it is work of the people, not for the people (which is the distinction between liturgy and magic, since magic is directed for some outcome for people).  Liturgy is different than a service which often is entertainment at its worst, or passively watching and listening to what is going on at church.  Liturgy, rather, is something we do together.

Workshop: Prayer, a Psycho-Spiritual Reflection @ St. Philip Neri Ecumenical Church
Dec 1 @ 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Untitled

Rev. Dr. John Oliver has been thinking about this topic for 35 years.  He says he thinks he has finally come to understand some things about prayer.

Using some very interesting psychological studies, teaching of great saints and guides, as well as the Scriptures, Fr. John will weave an extraordinary tapestry of reflection on prayer.

  • You will learn the development of prayer types.
  • You will embrace the psychological, emotional, and spiritual benefits of prayer.
  • You will find new pathways to prayer and a greater joy and peace.

Join us:

  • Date:  Tuesday, December 1, 2015
  • Time:  6:00-9:00 PM

We will feed your body and your soul.

The workshop is free.  Food and beverages will be provided.

Please feel free to bring a friend or invite someone you know.
